Our Mission
The mission of Bruised Reed Technologies is to change the way the world “comes to know” or the way the world learns. The convergence of unlimited access to written information, ubiquitous access to human presentations (videos), and AI presents an opportunity to create a new model for learning. The internet can make this model available for everyone, providing an opportunity for all people to participate in the new technological age.
The ability to print information, preserve it over time, and read it on demand has been the most significant transformation in the way we learn over the past 500 years. This was turbocharged by computers and their ability to store masses of information at low cost. This transformation was further turbocharged by the “search engine” which gave humans the ability to search through the zillions of characters of relevant information we now have available and pinpoint the information that matters most to us.
The next most significant transformation of the way that the world learns has been video. Teaching led by a human orator when combined with the ability to look at and listen to that oration (presentation) repeatedly and on demand has changed the way we do everything, from training on our jobs, to making repairs around the house, to booking a vacation, to cooking a meal, to shopping, to sharing information through video social media, and the list of tasks are endless.
The latest significant transformation in the way we learn or “come to know” is artificial intelligence (AI) and its ability to apply human-type logic to pools of information (LLMs) to provide answers and solutions using massive amounts information as input. If insights and past knowledge given to us are the building blocks of learning anew, AI provides more advanced building blocks which will accelerate the speed and depth of our learning.
Bruised Reed Technologies looks to leverage these three foundational transformative, learning technologies in a synergistic (convergent) way that creates a whole new learning model by combining the large language models of AI with video to accelerate the speed at which people “come to know”.
